“Playing Water”

She picked her way carefully along the primitive path that skirted a long unkept pond, delicate and serene as a Monet landscape, its once graceful fountain no longer at play. Peaceful and dreamy, still water mirrored the color of heaven. To her far left she spotted the half-rotted remains of an old Japanese foot bridge that had long ago served as a discreet site for lovers" assignations. In her minds eye, she imagined the way it might have looked in its glory days when furtive lovers, bridled by caution, sought out each other in the gathering dusk.

An Australian boulder opal that Monet might have painted himself on delicately faceted semi-transparent watery-blue sapphire drops. 18K gold accents. Pendant drop 1 1/4".
